Position Summary…What you’ll do…The leader in this role owns key Point of Sale (POS) and infrastructure services that enable Walmart’s in-store retail business. These services include event detection systems to identify when POS systems need help from associates or support services, data pipelines to aggregate in-store data in cloud and produce business insights, deployment systems to launch software into thousands of Walmart stores worldwide, and one of the core point of sale systems itself.This leader will manage software in a variety of product lifecycle stages, from freshly launched within the past year to battle hardened with 20+ years of legacy. This leader will be responsible for driving the technical vision for these products and own the strategy for platform level services to ensure the success of the world’s largest and best retail operation.
