TEAM LEADER SPECIAL ASSETSWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?Under general supervision, this colleague is responsible for the team’s collection and recovery of past due and charged off commercial credits. Ensures the department maximizes returns and collections, while at the same time helping certain customers to be restored to active and pass credit status through negotiation and collection activity. Gathers, reviews and approves reports (e.g., retrospectives, doubtful log, accruals/non-accruals). Approves and recommends loan decisions on credits within delegated authority. Monitors subordinates' decisions on courses of action taken to maximize collections. Provides technical advice and assistance to lending and credit personnel regarding explicitly identification and evaluation of potential problem loans. Develops, improves and enforces the department’s internal policies and procedures. Performs other duties as requested. Must be in good standing under “The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008” (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the “Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry”; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act.
