The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co. provides legal services and advice to the Firm globally. Legal is responsible for, among other things:Advising on drafting and negotiating client, partner and customer-facing contractsAssisting with providing day-to-day legal advice and counsel to internal clients and partners in connection with the development, implementation and maintenance of data, analytics, AI or other related technology products and servicesAdvising on new business initiativesCollaborating with business teams, as well as colleagues in Legal, Risk, Compliance and other control functions to address and resolve complex issuesInterpreting existing laws, rules, and regulations and advising on changes theretoAdvising on advocacy in connection with contemplated and proposed laws, rules, and regulationsLegal selects, engages, and manages outside counsel for the Firm on all matters in which outside counsel is engaged
