ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)• Reviews program specifications, work instructions, or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.• Operates machine tool equipment as assigned, and load or unload material, i.e. blanks into machinery.• As required sets stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.• Monitors machine operation for correct feed length and ejection of parts and waste.• Conducts first piece and in process quality inspection, verifies dimensions using micrometer, template, straightedge or scale. Records data on piece inspection report.
