What Your Job Will Be Like:We are seeking a Summer - R&D Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team!On any given day, you may be called on to:Perform research in nuclear reactor accident modeling and simulation, including the development of models for incorporation into accident analysis softwarePerform research into advanced reactor technologies to understand their response under abnormal conditions, ranging from anticipated operational transients to severe accidents that challenge one or more engineered barriers to radionuclide release to the environmentDevelop advanced reactor safety and risk assessment methodologies coupling probabilistic methods with modeling and simulation on state-of-the-art distributed computing systemsDevelop the technical basis to support risk-informed evaluations of an array of advanced reactor technologies, contributing to a key national priority to restore U.S. leadership in nuclear energy technology innovation
