Job DescriptionThe Executive Office for Administration and Finance (A&F) executes fiscal and administrative policies to ensure the financial stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of state government. A&F develops, analyzes, and manages the Commonwealth’s financial planning and resource allocation activities, including the Governor’s annual budget submission to the Legislature. This is a fast-paced, high pressure environment. Successful candidates must be self-motivated and responsible team players, who are willing to work nights and weekends during peak budget periods.Fiscal Policy Analysts review programs, operations, and policies; analyze agency requests and assumptions; track spending, revenue, and staffing; and make budget-related recommendations based on their independent analysis. Analysts partner with agency staff to develop appropriate annual budget recommendations, identify potential risks for increased spending or decreased revenue, and present corresponding solutions.
