Position Summary…What you’ll do…About the teamThe Space team is responsible for optimizing our store layouts to ensure that each item is given the appropriate amount of space and is positioned in the most ideal location for our customers. Our goal is to revolutionize Walmart’s decision-making process, from determining macro category placements to even the minutest details, such as the positioning of an item on a shelf down to a tenth of an inch. This approach allows for continuous adjustments to store item locations, aligning them with the preferences of our local customers and facilitating agility and speed to market. Through the utilization of AI optimization, our team aims to create visual guides that will provide precise instructions for store associates, ultimately improving Walmart’s efficiency in placing items in the most optimal locations within our stores.
