Job DescriptionThe Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) administers the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program which provides temporary income assistance to Massachusetts workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own and who are able to work, available for work and looking for a job.The Deputy Director of Revenue will steer the day-to-day operations of the department’s programs and the UI Benefit Reimbursement Program, impacting over 200,000 Massachusetts employers. The role includes promptly and effectively addressing external inquiries, aiding employers in legal compliance, and enforcing tax laws to correct and deter delinquent behaviors. The incumbent will manage a diverse and complex set of tax operations, ensuring DUA’s Revenue Department meets stringent Federal quality and timeliness standards, and fostering crucial links with UI Benefit Programs planning and systems operations.
